THEY ARE NOT HEAVY CONSIDERING THIER RUGED CONSTUCTION- REMEMBER METAL CONSTRUCTION MEANS YOUR LENSES WILL NOT SHIFT OVER TIME, A PRIME CONSIDERATION FOR OUTDOOR USE, RUCKSACK CARRY ETC ETC.

These binoculars are truly heavy duty in construction and quality.
The Eye relief and Exit Diameter are excellent for those who wear glasses!!
FOV and clarity is just marvelous!!
They are a bit heavy for birding, I would recommend using a harness when on the trails..
The views are just spectacular for terrestial and astronomy!!
Tripod use is recommended for long viewing sessions..
I also like to observe the heavens using the Oberwerk mirror as well..
The hard case is a bit retro and cool!!
When you hold them, you just know this a quality binocular..
