Oberwerk Hercules Fork Mount

The Oberwerk (formally Helix) Hercules fork mount is solidly-constructed of black-anodized 3/8" aluminum. In fact it's the only fork mount on the market that can handle the 38-pound Oberwerk BT-120-45. Teflon bearing surfaces ensure smooth movement in both axises. Three large knurled tensioner knobs are machined from solid aluminum block. Guide handle included for easy panning. Your choice of 10" or 12" inner-fork width. Fork cradle depth adjusts to balance any load at the pivot point. The 10" easily handles 100mm binoculars such as the 25/40x100 Long-Range Observation binocular, BT-100, and BT-100-45. Choose the 12" model for the BT-120-45. The base is tapped with 3/8" and 5/8" holes (see pic lower left), so it can be used with a variety of tripods. We recommend either the Oberwerk Wood Tripod, Bogen 475 tripod, or Bogen 161MK2B Super-Duty tripod.
